World premieres of new versions of Arvo Pärt’s works

Last week, new versions of Arvo Pärt’s pieces were premiered at the concert dedicated to the 150th anniversary of Republic of Italy: Beatus Petronius (1990/2011) for two mixed choir, eight woodwind instruments, tubular bells and string orchestra, Salve Regina (2001/2011) for mixed choir, celesta and string orchestra and Statuit ei Dominus (1990/2011) for two mixed choirs, eight woodwind instruments and string orchestra. Performers were RAI National Symphonic Orchestra and Torino Vocalensemble under the baton of Tito Ceccherini.

Concerts took place on September 9 in Arturo Toscanini Auditorium, Turin, and September 10 in Giuseppe Verdi Conservatory in Milan. Same works were performed by Latvian Radio Choir, Vox Clamantis and Sinfonietta Rīga also on September 11 in Tallinn at Arvo Pärt Days.
