The Plektrum Festival 08.-18.09.2011 in Tallinn

The Plektrum Festival will be opened with “Bas Relief“, an Estonian-German joint project, presenting the music of contemporary Estonian and German composers. The concert includes the first performances of works by Malle Maltis (Estonia) and Fabian Müller (Switzerland), and the performances of works by Jüri Reinvere, Toivo Tulev, Arvo Pärt (Estonia) and Reinhard David Flender (Germany). Colourful sounds will be brought to you by NYYD quartet (the successor of NYYD Ensemble, Estonia) together with NATHAN quartet (Germany) and pianist Marrit Gerrets-Traksmann (Estonia). The sounds will be complemented with Plektrum visuals by Emer Värk.
In addition to concerts and exhibitions a large number of other festival events master classes, workshops, films and club nights will take place.
