Tallinn Jazz Weekend is a showcase festival of Estonian jazz music and belongs to the program of European Capital of Culture Tallinn 2011. From September 23 to 24, 14 ensembles will appear on the stage at Von Krahl Theatre: UMA, Tanel Ruben Quintet, Kadri Voorand Group, Tuule Kann–Jaak Sooäär, Villu Veski “Innovative Life”, Andres Mustonen Crossover Quartet, Peedu Kass 005, Hedvig Hanson Group, Heavy Beauty, Weekend Guitar Trio, VindPower, Ingrid Lukas, Tom-Tomm Kvintett and State of Zoe.
Tallinn Jazz Week was motivated by the annual conference of Europe Jazz Network that will be held in Tallinn. EJN collocates plenitude of European most significat jazz festivals, clubs and other organisations whose representatives and additionally about 20 jazz journalists all over the Europe will reflect this great event. Apparently this will be music export event with the biggest number of delegates that have taken place in Estonia.
