Concert of Estonian Music in Amsterdam Orgelpark

On February 19 at famous Orgelpark in Amsterdam, organist Andres Uibo and violinist Mari-Liis Uibo will give a concert „Hypnotiserend Estland” dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the Estonian Republic and arranged by Estonian Ministry of Culture. This programme includes Erkki-Sven Tüür’s „Spectrum I“, Andres Uibo’s „Bach im Spiegel“ and „Then I saw...“ (from „Apocalypsis Symphony“), Artur Kapp’s „Aria“, Arvo Pärt’s „Trivium“ and „Spiegel im Spiegel“, Ester Mägi’s „Dialogue“ and „Cadenza and Theme“, Rudolf Tobias’s choral prelude „Nun ruhen alle Wälder“ and Fugue in D minor.

Andres Uibo is one of the most renowned Estonian organists. He is the founder and artistic director of Tallinn Organ Festival since 1987, the producer of the State Concert Institute Eesti Kontsert and leader of the Estonian musical life. He has performed in many countries, recently Uibo performed once more at Grand Hall of St. Petersburg Philharmonic’s sold-out concert in the series „World Renowned Organists“, the programme included Buxtehude, Bach, and his „Apocalypsis Symphony“ for grand organ. The young violinist Mari-Liis Uibo advances her skills at Vienna, in Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst.
