Artur Kapp 130

On February 28, 130 years have passed since the birth of Artur Kapp, one of the first professional Estonian composer and one of the founder of Estonian symphonic music, pedagogue, conductor and organist. On the February 28 at 10.05 a.m., musicologist Johannes Jürisson tells memories about the composer Artur Kapp in the rebroadcast “Pipeman Artur Kapp” in the air of Estonian classical music radio Klassikaraadio. At 11.05 a.m music by Artur Kapp can be listened via Klassikaraadio. An exhibition “Music is the niblest, dearest and and mightiest art” dedicated to the 130th anniversary of Artur Kapp is opened in Kohtla-Järve Library. Music festival in composer’s natal city Suure-Jaani (15-23 June) is dedicated to Kapp family composers (Artur Kapp 130, Eugen Kapp 100, Villem Kapp 95).
