On January 20 and 21, the new piece „Flow“ for counter tenor, lute and viola da gambas by Toivo Tulev will premiere in Tartu and Tallinn. It will be perfomed by Risto Joost (counter tenor), Richard Sweeney (lute, Great Britain) and viola da gamba ensemble Väike rinG. The program also consists of lute songs from The First Booke of Songs or Ayres (1597), The Second Booke of Songs of Ayres (1600), Third and Last Booke of Songs or Aires (1603) and Lachrimae or Seaven Teares (1604) by John Dowland (1563–1626). Concerts in the concert series Vocalissimo will be held on January 20 at Tartu St. John’s Church and 21 January at Tallinn St. Nicholas’ Church.

„Flow“ (2008) is commissioned by Risto Joost and its music and texts are inspired by Dowland’s Lachrimae.
