Tallinn Guitar Quartet performs in Estonia, Lithuania and Denmark


Tallinn Guitar Quartet

In February and March, Tallinn Guitar Quartet - Heiki Mätlik, Julia Kahro, Kristo Käo and Jorma Puusaag – will give five concerts in Estonia, Lithuania and Denmark. The program consists of works by Johann Sebastian Bach, Leo Brouwer, Carlo Domeniconi, Federico Moreno Torroba. They will also perform Estonian guitar music: Diary of Minotaur by Timo Steiner and Robert Jürjendal’s quartet Conciliator.

On February 18 at 7 pm, Tallinn Guitar Quartet will perform in Town Gallery of Kuressaare and on February 28 at 6 pm in Tallinn Meder Hall. In Lithuania, they will participate in Vilnius Guitar Festival and give concert on February 21 at 6 pm in Vilnius Town Hall and on February 22 at 5 pm in Kaunas Philharmonic Hall. Tallinn Guitar Quartet’s concert in Denmark will take place on March 12 at 8 pm in Rundetaarn Hall, Copenhagen.
In 2005, Tallinn Guitar Quartet was formed of the best guitar graduates of the Estonian Academy of Music. Their extensive repertoire combines works for guitar trios and quartets from different periods - Baroque, Classical and contemporary. Tallinn Guitar Quartet also performs music by Estonian authors.
