„Opus Tempus“ at Kumu Art Museum

On March 2, dance and music performance Opus Tempus was premiered at Kumu Art Museum. Opus Tempus will be also played today, on March 3 at 7 pm. Choreographers are dancers Mari Mägi and Kaja Lindal, music is composed by Monika Mattiesen, sound and live-electronics by Tammo Sumera, light and stage designer is Inga Vares and makeup designer is Anu Konze.

Opus Tempus will be performed by choreographers Mari Mägi and Kaja Lindal and multidisciplinary ensemble Cyberstudio (Monika Mattiesen – flute, Kristi Mühling – Estonian zither, Liis Jürgens – harp and Ene Nael – harpsichord). Opus Tempus is a surreal game with colour and form. Choreography is inspired by nature observation and Australian film designer Mike Worral’s baroque-like paintings. In addition to dancers, also musicians participate in choreography and dancers create musical sounds – different professional skills and characters interweave into a whole on the stage.

The festival version Opus of the concert piece Opus Tempus will be performed during the New Dance Festival on March 19 at Kumu Art Museum.

Performance is organized by Independent Association of Dance.
