Estonian National Symphony Orchestra on concert tour in USA

Estonian National Symphony Orchestras first concert in USA is on March 6 at 8 pm in Wezel Concert Hall, Sarasota in Florida.

Turing this month ENSO gives 18 concerts in ten States of America (Florida, Georgia, South Carlolina, New York, Illinois, Insiana, Kasas, Colorado, Las Vegas and California). The concert tour is based on two programs conducted by Eri Klas and Nikolai Aleksejev. Eri Klas is conducting Arvo Pärt’s Cantus in Memory of Benjamin Britten, Sergei Rachmaninov’s Piano Concerto No. 2 in C minor and Jean Sibelius’s Symphony No. 2 in D major. The second program, under the guidance of Nikolai Aleksejev, consists of Arvo Pärt’s Summa, Sergei Prokofjev’s Piano Concerto No. 3 in C major and Antonin Dvořák’s Symphony No. 8 in G major. The soloist of the piano concerts is young American pianist Joyce Yang, who is the silver medal winner of the Van Cliburn International Piano Competition. She is required soloist and has played with a variety of symphony orchestras. At the present she is a student in the Julliard School in New York.

The concerts are produced by Opus3 Artists. The orchestra returns from the tour in the 31st March.
