Vocalissimo: Pirjo Püvi

 

On March 7 at 6 pm at Meder Hall in Tallinn, soprano Pirjo Püvi with pianist Piia Paemurru are performing in Estonian singers introducing concert series Vocalissimo. The program consists of vocal music by Claude Debussy, Camille Saint-Saëns, Gabriel Fauré, Edvard Grieg, Oskar Merikanto, Mihkel Lüdig and Artur Lemba.

Pirjo Püvi has graduated from Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre in opera singing and is currently doing her Master’s with assistant professor Nadia Kurem. She has also participated in Eva Märtson’s (Germany), Thomas Wiedenhofer’s (Germany), Rudolf Piernay’s (Great Britain), Irja Auroora’s (Finland) and Kevin Smith’s (Sweden) master courses. As a soloist she has performed in operas and vocal-symphonic works and cooperated with conductors Nikolay Alexeev, Normunds Vaicis, Ari Angervo, Anu Tali, Toomas Siitan, Lauri Sirp, Risto Joost and Ants Soots.
