Chamber Choir Voces Musicales is performing music by Palestrina, Pärt and Tormis in Israel

Chamber Choir Voces Musicales and conductor Risto Joost have been invited to Israel’s International Spring Festival - Rishon LeZion. The 10th festival in Tel Aviv is held from March 27 to April 4 and artists from Israel, Argentina, Ireland, Kazakhstan, Taiwan, USA, Zimbabwe and Estonia are performing.

Voces Musicales gives two concerts on April 1, both programs can also be heard in Estonia, on March 21 at 21 pm at St. John’s Church and March 29 at 1 pm at Tallinn Song Celebration Grounds. On first concert Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina’s Mass Papae Marcelli and Arvo Pärt’s sacral pieces "The Woman with the Alabaster Box", "Tribute to Caesar", "I Am the True Vine", and "Most Holy Mother of God" are performed. On second concert the program consists of music by Veljo Tormis (“Curse upon Iron”, “The Songster's Childhood”, “Litany to Thunder” and two song cycle’s Ingrian Evenings and Vepsian Paths from series Forgotten Peoples) and Arvo Pärt (“Magnificat”, “The Woman With the Alabaster Box”, “Which Was the Son of...”, “Tribute to Caesar” and “Dopo la vittoria”).
