On the two concerts on April 1 and 2 in the Stockholm Berwaldhallen Concert Hall, Tõnu Kõrvits’ new work „Hümnid Läänerannikult” [Hymns from West Coast] will be premiered.
The work, written for choir and saxophone quartet, will be performed by Swedish Radio Choir and Stockholm Saxophone Quartet under conducting of Tõnu Kaljuste.
Among the other works, in addition to the new composition by Tõnu Kõrvits, also a choir number from „Raua needmine” [Curse Upon Iron] by Veljo Tormis will be performed.
The recording of the concert will be broadcasted on April 4, in Swedish program P2 in the series of new music concerts.
