Anu Tali will conduct „Sung into the wind” by Tõnu Kõrvits in Tyrol

On April 16 and 17 at 8 pm, Tyrolean Symphony Orchestera Innsbruck with Anu Tali conducting will perform Sung into the wind by Tõnu Kõrvits at Congress Innsbruck, Hall Tirol. The program includes also Piano Concerto No 3 in D minor, Op. 30 by Sergei Rachmaninov (soloist Andrei Gavrilov, Russia) and Symphony No 9 in E major, Op.70 by Dmitri Shostakovich.

Sung into the wind was written in 2006. It was commissioned and premiered by the Nordic Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Anu Tali in Tartu and Tallinn in January 2007.

Anu Tali (1972) has studied conducting with Jorma Panula (Finland) and Ilya Musin (Russia). In 1997, she an her sister Kadri Tali founded Estonian-Finnish Symphony Orchestra, currently – Nordic Symphony Orchestra, which CD „Swan Flight“ (2002, Finlandia/Warner Classics) earned the German Echo Classic Prize 2003 within the category Young Artist of the Year. In 2004, Anu Tali was given the Presidential Award of Estonia. In 2006, Tali was chosen as the Musician of the Year by Estonian Radio.
