Neeme Järvi is about to resigne his activity as music director of the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra and in this occasion gives four „Farewell“concerts with the orchestra. The concert program consists of Ludwig van Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 5, Emperor, soloist Per Tengstrand and Anton Bruckner’s Symphony No. 7. |
The concerts are held on May 1 at 8 pm in Richardson Auditorium, Princeton, May 2 at 8 pm in New Jersey Performing Arts Center, Newark, May 3 at 3 pm in State Theatre, New Brunswick and May 5 at 1.30 pm in New Jersey Performing Arts Center, Newark with festive resignation ceremony organized by the orchestra. Neeme Järvi is hereinafter referred as the honorary conductor of the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra.
