Corelli Music Agency's summer concerts

In summer of 2009, Corelli Music Agency offers many concerts of different music favours.
The concert series Music in Romantic Manors will continue on June 26 with concert Masters and apprentices at Maidla Manor-orphanage in Raplamaa.

The concert will introduce the best Estonian harpsichordists and their students. The concert will be held in occasion of the 10th anniversary of historic keyboard instrument players’ summer camp. Also, a photo exhibition, reflecting the last decade of Estonian hapsichord players’ activities, will be open for visitors.

 

On August 5, in frame of series Church Holidays in St.Mary's Land one of the world's top groups of vocal music Orlando Consort from Great Britain will give a performance in Tallinn St. Olaf’s Church. Next to the 15th century music, their program Ave Maria also includes works by modern authors like Arvo Pärt, Gavin Bryars and Tarik O'Regan. 


On August 14 to 17, the series Estonian Manors 2009 presents works by Johann Sebastian Bach, performed by Andres Kaljuste (violin) and Risto Joost (countertenor) and members of ensemble Corelli Consort – Villu Vihermäe (cello) and Lembit Orgse (harpsichord). The concert will be enriched with comments by historian Jüri Kuuskemaa.

The concerts will be held in Vasalemma manor (August 14), Kolu manor (August 15), Uuemõisa manor (August 16) and Tartu Jaama manor (August 17). The series supports Tartu Maarja School (the manor-school for mentally handicapped children).

No tickets for the last concert of series will be sold, but everyone of audience can make a donation for the Tartu Maarja School.

The Agency also participates in a number of large joint projects. On the festival of Tallinn Old Town Days and Viljandi Early Music Festival, ensemble Corelli Consort will perform their most popular programs. In cooperation with the Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir and conductor Daniel Reuss, the Corelli Baroque Orchestra will give concerts of motets by Johann Sebastian Bach in churches all over Estonia. In collaboration with Nargen Festival, the orchestra will participate in performance of Joseph Haydn’s oratorio The Creation under conducting of Tõnu Kaljuste. Corelli Baroque Orchestra also takes part of the final concert of Rapla Church Music Festival, where Antonio Vivaldi's Gloria and Johann Sebastian Bach's Magnificat will be performed.

Recently its 5th anniversary celebrated Corelli Music offers until the end of May tickets for their major summer concerts with a reduced prize.
