Premiere of Mass by Margo Kõlar on Cyrillus Kreek Music Day in Haapsalu

On May 31, at 7 pm, a concert dedicated to the oevre of composer Cyrillus Kreek will take place in Dome Cathedral in composer’s hometown Haapsalu. The concert program includes Setu Symphony by Cyrillus Kreek and Little Symphony (Hommage à Joseph Haydn) by Veljo Tormis, as well as the premiere of Margo Kõlar’s Mass for two choirs, organ and symphony orchestra. Performers are Estonian National Male Choir, Haapsalu Dome Choir, female choirs Kaasik and Netty, mixed choir of Haapsalu congregation and Estonian National Symphony Orchestra, conductor Tõnu Kaljuste.

Cyrillus Kreek Music Days in Haapsalu are organized by Nargen Festival since 2007. In this year, the festival celebrates the 120th anniversary of composer Cyrillus Kreek.
