Estonian conductors in the world

On May 25, Basel Chamber Orchestra under conducting of Kristjan Järvi, performed in Vilnius with the program consisting of music by Joseph Haydn, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Igor Stravinsky and Bohuslav Martinů. With the same program they will give two concerts in Czech Republic: on May 31, at the Prague Spring Festival and on June 1, at the Ostrava City Cultural Centre. On May 30, Kristjan Järvi will conduct the French National Orchestra at the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris. With pianists Katia and Marielle Labèque and clarinet player Patrick Messina, they will perform pieces by Leonard Bernstein, Georg Gershwin and Aaron Copland.

On May 29 and 31, violinist Yossif Ivanov and the Residentie Orkest under conducting of Neeme Järvi will perform Violin Concerto by Ludwig van Beethoven and Symphony No. 1 by Johannes Brahms’ in the Hague, Netherlands.

On May 29 and 30 at the Festival Theatre of Adelaide, Arvo Volmer will conduct Adelaide Symphony Orchestra, Adelaide Symphony Chorus and Brisbane Chorale in the performance of Giuseppe Verdi’s Requiem.

Yomiuri Nippon Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Olari Elts, will perform music by Jean Sibelius, Sergei Rachmaninov and Sergei Prokofiev on May 29 and 30 in Tokyo, Japan. Concert soloist is violin player Barnabás Kelemen, who recently appeared with Estonian National Symphony Orchestra in Estonia Concert Hall, Tallinn.
