Tauno Aints (1975) has studied at Viljandi Culture College and graduated from the Estonian Academy of Music where he studied composition with Prof Lepo Sumera and Helena Tulve. In 2002–2007, Aints was active as a pop musician in the ensemble Genialistid. He has composed choral works, chamber and orchestral music, music for films and plays. In addition, Aints has made over 150 pop music arrangements for various instrumentations. In Aints’s output, music for children has an outstanding importance. Songs from the Estonian Television’s children’s programme Buratino is Back, puppet theatre plays and concert performance Limpa have gained wide popularity.

Mirjam Tally’s (1976) music is known of its playful contrasts and courageous experiments with sound and texture. Exotic instruments and electronics are often in use to interpret her border-crossing musical ideas in the most effective way. Tally graduated from the Estonian Academy of Music as a student of Prof Lepo Sumera. During the studies she also received guidance in electronic music from Rauno Remme. In 2003 she obtained the Master’s degree at the Estonian Academy of Music. Since 2006, Tally is living and working on island of Gotland and recently honored with one of the most significant music awards in Sweden – Christ Johnson-priset by the Swedish Royal Music Academy for her orchestral work Turbulence.
