On Saturday, January 9 at 5.35 pm, Estonian TV shows documentary "Helisev maja” [Sonorous House].
The film was completed in cooperation between the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre and
the
Baltic Film and Media School in 2009 for the 90th anniversary of the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre. The directors and idea authors of the film are Brett Orloff, Helen Tootsi and musicologist and Associate Professor of EAMT, Kristel Pappel. Film music is composed by Estonian composer Mirjam Tally, who graduated from EAMT in 2003.
Sonorous House
reflects the present day of the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre, introducing music students and learning process in modern international study environment. The memories and photos recall history of the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre. Alongside the students, their thoughts share professors Urve Lippus, Gesa Birnkraut and composer Erkki-Sven Tüür.
