In January, several concerts in the new concerts series Elite Concerts, organized by the Association of Estonian Professional Musicians, will take place in Tallinn and Tartu.
On January 9 at 7 pm in Russian Culture Centre, violinist Mikk Murdvee, cellist Henry-David Varema and pianist Age Juurikas will give a concert which is dedicated to the 170th birth anniversary of Pyotr Tchaikovsky. The program consists of Russian composer’s Trio in A minor, Op. 50 and other small scale works.
The concert will take place in collaboration with the Russian Philharmonic Society.
Indrek Vau (trumpet) and Peep Lassmann (piano) will perform a program consisting of pieces by Paul Hindemith, Bohuslav Martinů and Sergei Rachmaninov. The concerts will take place on January 12 at 7 pm in Tartu University Hall and on January 13 at 3 pm in Kadriorg Palace.
On January 23 at 5 pm, concert entitled MonoOpera will take place in Tallinn Art Hall. Improvisers Anto Pett (piano) and Anne-Liis Poll (vocal) will create a new music piece there on spot.
