Concerts by pianist Kadri-Ann Sumera and oboist Riivo Kallasmaa in Tallinn and Tartu

On Friday, January 29 at 6 pm in the Tallinn St. Michael's Swedish Church and on Saturday, January 30 at 3 pm in White Hall of Tartu University History Museum, pianist Kadri-Ann Sumera and oboist Riivo Kallasmaa will play solo and duo works for oboe, English horn and piano.
The concert program includes Moments amicaux (Friendly Moments) by Thomas Daniel Schlee, piano work Invitation to Dance by Kristjan Kõrver, A Measure of Luck by Timo Steiner, 12 Notations by Pierre Boulez and Sonata for piano and oboe by Henry Dutilleux. As a premiere, Tõnis Kaumann’s Valet for solo oboe will be performed. The work is completed in 2009 and written especially for Riivo Kallasmaa.
According to the statement by the performers, the works were chosen in order to offer softer and harmonious as well as some sharp-edged and dissonating repertoire of contemporary music.
