On February 12, new piece Wake Up, My Heart for solo mandolin by Tõnu Kõrvits will be premiered in England by one of Britain’s finest mandolinists Alison Stephens. The concert will take place at King Edward Hall in Lindfield at 7.30 pm. She will be a guest soloist with mandoline orchestra called the Fretful Federation, the program also includes Mandoline Concerto in C major by Giovanni Paisiello.

Wake Up, My Heart is based on Estonian sacred folk song bearing the same name. Acquaintance with Alison Stephens gave to composer, who takes the mandolin playing as a hobby, an impulse to write the mandolin piece.
