Erkki-Sven Tüür’s orchestral music in Denmark and Finland

In this week, Erkki-Sven Tüür’s orchestral works can be listened in three Northern cities. Prophecy (2007) for accordion and symphony orchestra will be performed by Mika Väyrynen and Copenhagen Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of Okko Kamu in Denmark: on February 3 in Osted Fri- og Efterskole and February 4 in Royal Danish Conservatory concert hall in Copenhagen. Program includes also Jean Sibelius’s Symphony No. 3 and Richard Strauss’s Till Eulenspiegel.

Lighthouse (1997) for string orchestra will be played in Turku Concert Hall on February 3 and 4 by Turku Philharmonic Orchestra with Juha Kangas conducting. Concert entitled From the Baltic to Italy presents also Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 26 (soloist Kalle Randalu) and Felix Mendelssohn’s Symphony No. 4.
