Erkki-Sven Tüür’s music in USA

On February 24, Erkki-Sven Tüür’s composer recital will take place in The Phillips Collection, Washington, within the series Leading European Composers. New Tallinn Trio (Harry Traksmann (violin), Kaido Kelder (cello) and Marrit Gerretz-Traksmann (piano), will perform Tüür’s ensemble works Architectonics VII (1992), Synergie (2010), Dedication (1990), Fata Morgana (2002) and Conversion (1994). Concert will be followed by concerstaion with the composer.

This week, orchestral work Aditus in memoriam Lepo Sumera (2000/2002) will be in the program of New York Philharmonic Orchestra. Under the baton of Paavo Järvi, the piece will be performed together with Benjamin Britten’s Violin Concerto (soloist Janine Jansen) and Ludwig van Beethoven’s Symphony No. 5. Concerts at the Avery Fisher Hall in Lincoln Center, New York, will take place on February 24, 25 and 26 and March 1.
