Last week cellist Aare Tammesalu and organist Ines Maidre gave two concerts in Norway, which were dedicated to the 93th anniversary of Republic of Estonia. Besides music by Johann Sebastian Bach and Edvard Grieg, Tammesalu and Maidre performed Peeter Süda’s Prelude and Fuge in G minor (1914/1920), Artur Kapp’s Prelude (1918), Arvo Pärt’s Trivium (1976), Erkki-Sven Tüür’s Spectrum I (1989) and Eino Tamberg’s A Play with Big Drum (2009).
The concerts took place on February 23 in Bergen and February 25 in Oslo.
