Estonian Music Days Festival

   

From March 21–26, Estonian Music Days Festival will take place in Tallinn. The biggest annual event in Estonian music scene organised by Estonian Composers’ Union presents 10 concerts with 14 premieres, seminar of music criticism and video music night.

Four chamber concerts will mix Estonian music and musicians with ones of capitals of Estonian neighbour countries – Helsinki, Riga, Stockholm and Moscow.

Märt-Matis Lill composer recital is part of the programme of Tallinn – European Capital of Culture 2011.


Estonian National Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Mihhail Gerts will bring to the audience new works by Kristjan Kõrver, Märt-Matis Lill, Monika Mattiesen, Toivo Tulev and Erkki-Sven Tüür.

Festival offers also organ concert with music by Veljo Tormis and Edgar Arro, two composition students’ concerts and showcase concert of Estonian Composers at Tallinn Music Week, a showcase festival and a music industry networking event that takes place from March 24-26.
