The second CD from Ensemble U: has been released

 On March 30, Ensemble U: will present its new

CD "Protuberances - new music for ensemble U:"

. New album consists of works written or arranaged specially for U: during the years 2006-2009. Estonian music is represented by

Tatjana Kozlova's Doors 2a

(2007). Additionally the CD include Jarkko Hartikainen's (Finland)

Vastakaiku / Anklang bis

(2009), Kimmo Kuitunen's (Finland)

Triple Duos

(2008) and Benjamin Broening's (USA)

Changing light

(2008). Music was recorded in Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre chamber hall in previous year, sound engineers are Margo Kõlar and Tanel Klesment.

Ensemble U: has been active from 2002 and is dedicated on the performance of contemporary music. Members of the ensemble are Tarmo Johannes (flute), Helena Tuuling (clarinet), Meelis Vind (clarinet), Vambola Krigul (percussion), Taavi Kerikmäe (piano), Merje Roomere (violin) and Levi-Danel Mägila (cello). Ensemble's first CD with Estonian new music came out in 2009.
