Premiere of “Where the two seas meet?” by Helena Tulve in the Netherlands and Germany

In the beginning of April, brand new work Where the two seas meet? for large ensemble by Helena Tulve will be premiered in the Netherlands and Germany. The work is commissioned by Deutschlandradio and ISCM (International Society for Contemporary Music) and will be performed by contemporary music ensemble INSOMNIO (the Netherlands) under the guidance of Ulrich Pöhl.

The concerts will be held on April 2 at Korzo Theatre in the Hague, April 3 at Vredenburg Leeuwenbergh in Uttrecht and April 9 at Deutschlandfunk Chamber Hall in Köln.

In addition to Tulve’s new work, the program also includes music by Jukka Tiensuu, Michel van der Aa, Steve Reich, Luca Francesconi, Roderik de Man, James Wood and Veli-Matti Puumala. The concerts in the Netherlands will also feature Ear Massage Percussion Quartet and baritone Olle Persson.
