Music by Estonian composers will be performed at the Estonian Theatre and Music Museum

 

Today, on April 22 at 6 pm, museum evening Inspiration dedicated to the laureates of the Heino Eller Music Prize over the years will be held at the Estonian Theatre and Music Museum. This year’s winner musicologist and pedagogue Tiia Järg will speak about Estonian classical music, in addition, the program includes works by Mart Siimer, Tatjana Kozlova, Tõnu Kõrvits, Tauno Aints, Mirjam Tally, Ülo Krigul and also Heino Eller.

Music will be performed by Raul Mikson (tenor), Priit Volmer (bass), Aare Tammesalu (cello), Kristiina Jalakas (guitar), Maarja Nuut (marimba), Risto Lehiste (street organ), Ralf Taal (piano), ensemble Resonabilis and Una Corda.


Heino Eller

The Heino Eller Music Prize is awarded by the Estonian Theatre and Music Museum as a curator of composer’s heritage and owner of his copyright. Prize will be ascribed to young Estonian composer for his/her oeuvre or to the professional musician and musicologist who has introduced Heino Eller’s life and music to the wider public.
