Ensemble Vox Clamantis was founded in 1996 by its artistic leader Jaan-Eik Tulve and is devoted to Gregorian chant, early polyphony and contemporary vocal music. Several Estonian composers (Toivo Tulev, Helena Tulve, Erkki-Sven Tüür, Andres Uibo, Tõnis Kaumann) have written new pieces for Vox Clamantis. Continuous collaboration with different musicians has given a birth to improvisational programs based on jazz music with Weekend Guitar Trio, saxophonist Villu Veski, American percussionist Brian Melvin. Ensemble has given concerts also with electro-acoustical ensemble Cyberstudio and early music consort Hortus Musicus.

Aare-Paul Lattik studied at the Estonian Academy of Music under Hugo Lepnurm and Andres Uibo, where he obtained Master’s degree in 1999. In addition, Lattik improved his skills in Lille Conservatoire with Philippe Lefebvre, in Lyon Conservatoire with Louis Robilliard and Aude Heurtematte. From 2000 to 2008, Lattik was the organist and musical director of Tallinn Swedish St. Michael’s Church. From 2006, he works as a pedagogue at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre. He is the chairman of Estonian Organ Society from 1999 and belongs to the board of the Association of Estonian Professional Musicians since 2006.
Aare-Paul Lattik has performed in every significant concert venue in Estonia, participated in many festivals in Estonia as well as abroad, including Portugal, France, Spain, Poland, Italy and Latvia. He has given concerts in Scandinavian countries and Russia as a soloist and together with different partners and ensembles. A special place in Lattik’s wide repertoire belongs to french organ music. A tight collaboration binds him also with Estonian composers – he as been the first performer of works by several Estonian composers (Mart Siimer, Ester Mägi, Alo Põldmäe, Anti Marguste), he has been written and dedicated organ pieces by Jaan Rääts (Piece Without Title No. 3), Mati Kuulberg (CV) and Rauno Remme (Voyage).
