Tatjana Kozlova’s work at the festival „ISCM World Music Days”

 

On May 5, Tatjana Kozlova’s Dimension of Quiescence (2009) for alto saxophone, percussion and video (in cooperation with Tarvo Hanno Varres) will be performed by MATCH Percussion and Michael Duke (saxophone) at Recital Hall East, Sydney Conservatorium of Music in the presence of composer. Kozlova’s work was selected to the international festival ISCM World Music Days 2010, which takes place from April 30 to May 9 in Sydney. The program of the concert also consists of music by John Kennedy (USA), Chun Ting Pang (Hong Kong), Miriama Young (New Zealand), Chia-Lin Pan (Taiwan) and Tomi Raisanen (Finland).

The program of the festival ISCM World Music Days also includes Arvo Pärt’s Berliner Messe (1990), which will be performed on May 9 at St. Finbar’s Church, Glenbrook by Sidney Chamber Choir.

The international festival focuses on contemporary music and sound art and is held annually in different cities around the world. The prestigious festival will present interesting music from the 52 sections of the ISCM (International Society of Contemporary Music), the majority of works have been composed after 2004. Also many world and Australian premiere performances will take place by Australia’s top performers and international artists.
