Vsevolod Pozdejev's author's concert coming soon

On Sunday, May 17 at 4 pm, a concert with music by Vsevolod Pozdejev, the youngest member of the Estonian Composers' Union will be held at the Tallinn House of Tourism.

Five works of Pozdejev’s creation will be premiered, performers are Oksana Sinkova (flute), Kristina Kriit (violin), Eva Vorobjova (piano), Olga Raudonen (cello), Aivi Tilk (accordion), Riina Roolaid (violin), Kristi Timma (violin) , Liisi Assavi (viola), Tatyana Moltchanova (soprano), Cantus Ensemble (conductor Maria Beljajeva) and Vsevolod Pozdejev (piano). The concert is free.

Vsevolod Pozdejev has studied piano with Mare Ots in Tallinn Georg Ots Music School (1998–2002). In 2002, he continued studies on piano with Valdur Roots at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre, graduating with Master's degree in 2007. In 2006, he complemented his studies as an exchange student at the Helsinki Sibelius Academy with Tarja Penttinen. Over his studying-years he has taken part in a number of masterclasses – with Arbo Valdma, Kalle Randalu, Vera Gornostajeva, Stephen Kovacevichi, Dmitri Alekseyev and others.
As a pianist, Vsevolod Pozdejev has given solo concerts in Tallinn and Moscow. In 2008, he participated as an accompanist in international opera festival Muzyczny Ogród Liczyrzepy 2008 in Poland. In 2001, he gained the 2nd place in competition of Estonian Music Schools.
As a composer, Vsevolod Pozdejev so far has written mainly instrumental and vocal chamber works, where an important place holds piano. He has also created choral works and film music.
