Estonian National Male Choir will participate in Arnold Schönberg’s The Gurre-Lieder in Germany

On June 12 and 13, Estonian National Male Choir will participate in Arnold Schönberg’s oratorio The Gurre-Lieder (1911, text by Jens Peter Jacobsen) in Berlin. The concerts will take place at Berlin Concert Hall.

In addition to Estonian National Male Choir, the work will be also performed by soloists Melanie Diener (soprano), Claudia Mahnke (mezzo soprano), Daniel Kirch (tenor), Daniel Ohlmann (tenor), Ralf Lukas (baritone), Berlin Radio Choir, the female voices of Prague Philharmonic Choir and Konzerthausorchester Berlin conducted by German Lothar Zagroseki. Estonian National Male Choir has performed Shönberg’s The Gurre-Leider earlier in Denmark and Norway.

On June 9, Estonian National Male Choir presented their new CD „Fire Song“ which comprises choral works by Kuldar Sink, Tarmo Lepik and Anti Marguste.
