Music by Eespere, Tüür and Palu at the concert Trialogues

On August 18 at 8 pm, concert Trialogues will take place in Pärnu Townhall, where Indrek Palu (violin), Leonora Palu (flute) and Kristo Käo (guitar) will perform chamber music by Estonian composers. Program consists of René Eespere’s well-known Trivium (1991) for violin, flute and guitar, Erkki-Sven Tüür’s Prints (1985, originally for flute and harp) and Indrek Palu’s Urban Sounds (2007) inspired by sounds in city. Also music by foreign composers can be listened: Toward the Sea (1981) by Tōru Takemitsu and Café (1930) by Astor Piazolla. Concert belongs to the Pärnu Townhall Music Festival and is organised by Pärnu Philharmonic Society in cooperation with Estonian State Concert Institute Eesti Kontsert.

Indrek Palu (b. 1977) has graduated from Viljandi Culture Academy in pop-jazz field of study and is active as a player of acoustic and electric violin. He is also member of Repoo Ensemble that practises contemporary music and experimental music theatre. Currently he works in rhythmic music department of Pärnu Music School.

Leonora Palu (b. 1979) has graduated from Estonian Academy of Music in flute performance and improved her skills in Royal Conservatory of Brussels. In 2002, she won special prize at free improvisation contest in Leipzig (in duo with Tauno Aints). Palu is active as a chamber musician and is a member of Repoo Ensemble. At the moment she is working in Pärnu City Orchestra and also as a pedagogue.

Kristo Käo(b. 1980) has studied guitar in Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre and Carl Nielsen Academy of Music in Denmark. Kristo Käo is chairman of Estonian Guitar Society, artistic director and main organiser of international guitar festival Fiesta de la guitarra, founder of music education project Kitarrikool.eu and teacher of guitar pedagogics in Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre. As a soloist and chamber musician, Käo has recorded in quanities of Estonian contemporary music and performed in Germany, Lithuania, Italy, Finland and Denmark.
