From October 7 to 10, International Tartu Early Music Festival Orient et Occident will take place for the 15th time. This year the festival will focus on troubadour and troubaritz songs, North-Indian and Persian music. Also art exhibition Orient and Occident of Tartu acknowledged artists will be opened. In addition to six concerts, the festival program also includes lectures and study sessions.
Tartu Early Music Festival will feature Festivitas Artium Schola Ensemble (Estonia), Conrad Steinmann (Switzerland), Troubadours Art Ensemble (France), Agnethe Christensen (Denmark), Gérard Zuchetto (France), Dr. Mustafa Raza Ensemble (India) and Mohammad Rasouli (Iran). Concerts will take place at Tartu University Assembly Hall, White Hall of the Tartu University History Museum and Tartu St. John’s Church.
The artistic director of the festival is Raho Langsepp.
