Festival „Piano 2010“

 

From October 23 to 31, 7th International Pianists Festival „Piano 2010“ will take place in Tallinn and Pärnu. The program of the festival consists of 13 concerts, opening of the Chopin exhibition and introduction of historical pianos. There will also be two premieres of Estonian piano music – by Ülo Krigul and Peeter Vähi.

This year the list of performers include Vanessa Wagner (France), Jevgeni Sudbin (Russia), Viviana Sofronitsky (Russia), Bernd Glemser (Germany), Kevin Kenner (USA/Poland), Eliso Virsaladze, piano duo Adam Makowicz – Krzysztof Trzaskowski and Estonian pianists Toomas Vana, Taavi Kerikmäe, the Piano Orchestra and young piano players from Tallinn Music High School, Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre etc.

Festival’s artistic director is Lauri Väinmaa and the organizers are Eesti Kontsert, Ministry of Culture, Cultural Endowment of Estonia, Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre, Embassy of United States, French Culture Centre, Tallinn Music High School, The Estonian Piano Teacher’s Association, Estonian National Library and Theatre and Music Museum.
