Premieres at the concert “Silhouettes and labyrinths”

On December 4 at 7 pm, Tallinn Chamber Orchestra’s concert entitled Silhouettes and Labyrinths will begin in Tallinn Methodist Church where Tõnu Kõrvits’s Labyrinths will be premiered and Arvo Pärt’s Silhouette (Hommage à Gustav Eiffel) will receive its Estonian first performance. Dutch composer Henk Badings’s (1907–1987) Symphony No. 9 will be added to new works. Together with the choir of Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre, also Lepo Sumera’s Concerto per voci e strumenti (1997), Kõrvits’s Kreek’s Notebook (2007) and Pärt’s Two Lullabies (2002/2005) will be performed. Conductor is Tõnu Kaljuste. Concert is organised by Tallinn Philharmonic Society.

Part of this program can be heard already on December 3 at 3.15 pm in Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre chamber hall, where the choir of EAMT and Tallinn Chamber Orchestra with Tõnu Kaljuste conducting will perform Lepo Sumera’s Concerto per voci e strumenti, Tõnu Kõrvits’s Kreek’s Notebook (2007) and Arvo Pärt’s Two Lullabies. Entrance for concert at EAMT is free.
