Winner of the „Con Brio ’10“ is Heili Rosin

Yesterday, on December 5, the final concert of Con Brio ’10 competition-festival for Estonian young musicians was held at the Estonia Concert Hall. Flute player Heili Rosin won the First Prize by the State Concert Organization Eesti Kontsert as well as the awards by the Estonian classical music radio Klassikaraadio, the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre and the Association of Estonian Professional Musicians. Vanemuine Symphony Orchestra’s Prize was given to violinist Ivi Ots. Duo Helena Tuuling (clarinet) and Liivi Arder (piano) won the award by Estonian Television and oboe player Heli Ernits the prize by the Estonian National Symphony Orchestra. This year’s Audience Award was given to Con Brio Trio – Maaren Randvere (violin), Theodor Sink (cello) and Johan Randvere (piano).

This year, 18 soloists and ensembles took part of the Con Brio competition. The members of the jury were René Eespere, Marje Lohuaru, Heidi Pruuli, Tiia Teder, Svea Ideon-Marks, Neeme Punder, Marko Martin, Margus Vahemets and Arvo Leibur.

Con Brio, which is organized by Eesti Kontsert, has taken place since 1991.
