Performances of Urmas Sisask’s Christmas Oratorio

In Friday and Saturday, Urmas Sisask’s Christmas Oratorio Op. 39 (1992) will be performed in Tallinn. Nine-part work for choir, soloists, organ and instrumental ensemble is created on Gospel according to Luke and Catholic prayers in Latin, also sermon in Estonian is used.

Oratorio will be performed by Maris Liloson (soprano), Toomas Tohert (tenor), Mixed Choir Noorus, Tallinn University Chamber Choir (at the concert in Methodist church), Mixed Choir Temporal (Germany), Reet Sukk, Anneli Kuusk and Agnes Toomla (recorders), Olev Ainomäe (oboe, recorder), Indrek Vau (trumpet), Sonja Henig and Õnne-Ann Roosvee (keyboards), Hele-Riin Uib (percussion), Egmont Välja (cello) and Mati Lukk (double bass), conductor is Raul Talmar.

Concerts will take place on December 10 at 6 pm in Tallinn Methodist Church and December 11 at 4 Nõmme Rahu Church.
