15th Kuressaare Chamber Music Days on August 4 to 8

From August 4 to 8, 15th Kuressaare Chamber Music Days are held in Kuressaare, the capital of Saaremaa island. This year, five days of the festival will offer six concerts both by the Estonian musicians, as well as guest performers from Russia, Great Britain, Hungary, Portugal and Spain.

Festival performers are Andres Paas (piano, Estonia), Julia Igonina (violin, Russia), Rustam Komatshkov (cello, Russia), Eduardo Fernández (piano, Spain), the Kodály Quartet (Hungary) and vocal quartet Orlando Consort (England). Portuguese fado will be performed by Joana Amendoeira (vocals) and Mar Ensemble (Portugal).
Reval Ensemble with Neeme Punder (flute, alto flute), Aare Tammesalu (cello) and Lea Leiten (piano) in collaboration with dancer Iris Frolov will give a concert of Estonian music with works by Lepo Sumera, Mirjam Tally, Tõnu Kõrvits and Urmas Sisask.

The Kuressaare Chamber Music Days have taken place in the second week of August each year in Saaremaa since 1995. The founder and artistic director of the festival is pianist Andres Paas.
