Concert series Tallinn Church Renaissance is part of project organized by Cultural Heritage Department of Tallinn, which aims to introduce through the musical concert renovated churches, their history and traditions. Concerts are held on every Thursday of August, starting at 6 pm, with free entry. |
On August 6, Arsis Hand-bell Ensemble will perform in Swedish St Michaels Church in Tallinn.
On August 13, Russian Orthodox men ensemble Credo will perform music by Sergei Rahmaninov, Pavel Chesnokov and Alexei Lvov in the Cathedral of Saint Mary the Virgin (Dome Church).
On August 20, Kadri Hunt and Weekend Guitar Trio will perform Estonian Religious Folk Chorales mixed with modern sounds.
On August 27, concert entitled Voices of the Nordic Islands III will be held on Tallinn Holy Spirit Church. Villu Veski, Tiit Kalluste and Taavo Remmel will perform music which is based on the Baltic and North Sea island folk music combined with improvisations.
