Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir will participate in Idomeneo in Bremen

At the end of August, Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir (EPCC) will participate in Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s opera production Idomeneo in Germany. The opera, directed by Olivier Py (France), will be performed within the framework of the 20th Bremen Music Festival at the Musical Theatre Bremen on August 23 and 25.

EPCC, baroque orchestra Les Musiciens du Louvre-Grenoble (France) and soloists Colin Balzer (Idomeneo), Yann Beuron (Idamante), Sophie Karthäuser (Ilia), Mireille Delunsch (Elettra), Xavier Mas (Arbace), Michael Spyres (Gran sacerdote) and Luca Tittotto (La voce di Nettuno) will be conducted by Marc Minkowski.

 

EPCC was invited to participate in Idomeneo by conductor Marc Minkowski with whom EPCC collaborated in August 2008 at Salzburg Festival. The choir has also participated in Giacomo Puccini’s opera production La Boheme at Luxembourg Grand Theatre in December 2004.
