Narva Maarja Song’s Festival

From September 8 to 20, the festival dedicated to Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of Saviour, will take place in Narva. The festival is ecumenical and aims at uniting different confessions. Festival offers concerts of both professional musicians (including early music ensemble Hortus Musicus and violinist Leena Laas) and amateur choirs. The programs of the concerts consist music by Giulio Caccini, Luigi Cherubini, Johann Sebastian Bach, Henry Purcell, Giovanni Battista Pergolesi, Federico Luzzi, Camille Saint-Saën, Claudio Monteverdi and others.

The first festival dedicated to the Blessed Virgin Mary was held in 2007. The festival is organized by the Estonian Evangelical Lutheran Church Narva Aleksander Congregation, artistic director is Tuuliki Jürjo.
