Jüri Reinvere presents his first author-CD

Reinvere’s first author-CD, entitled a second... a century, presents highlights of his creation during the last two decades, including his in English written poetry, which on the CD is read by English rhetorician Peter Yearsley. The music is performed by Livonian folk musician Julgi Stalte, Scottish flutist Richard Craig, the NYYD Ensemble with conductor Olari Elts, Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir and the pianists Jana Peäske and Ia Remmel. The CD is released by re:pi:n and the introducing text written by pianist and writer Käbi Laretei who has played an important role in the formation of the composer.

Jüri Reinvere was born and grew up in Estonia, he obtained musical education at the Tallinn Music High School, in the Warsaw Chopin Academy of Music and the Sibelius-Academy in Helsinki.
Reinvere has lived a long time in Finland and Sweden, since 2005 he lives in Berlin, Germany.
Reinvere’s last work "Requiem" on his own text, was written in 2009, the premiere took place on March 23, 2009 in Helsinki with performers Catherine Jarvis and Richard Craig.

Through the decades, Reinvere has been known by his impressively transformational, highly versatile and subtile music, which also is characterized by unpredictability and unreality. Since the change of the millennium, Reinvere has also written a philosophical Estonian, Finnish and English poetry, which he often uses in his music.
