The 83rd season of the Estonian National Symphony Orchestra begins

In the coming season, Nikolai Alekseev continues for the ninth time as the head conductor of the Estonian National Symphony Orchestra. This year will be his last season with the orchestra. As the orchestra's artistic adviser, for the eighth season starts Paavo Järvi and the third season as the first guest conductor Olari Elts.

Season opening concerts of the Estonian National Symphony Orchestra will take place on September 10 at 7 pm at the Pärnu Concert House, on September 11 at 7 pm in Estonia Concert Hall, Tallinn and on September 12 at 5 pm at the Jõhvi Concert House.
Dmitri Shostakovich's Symphony No. 13 b-flat minor "Babi Yar" for bass soloist, male choir and symphony orchestra and Robert Schumann's Piano Concerto in A Minor will be performed by Roman Polisadov (bass, Latvia), Peeter Laul (piano, Russia), the Estonian National Symphony Orchestra and Male Choir under conducting of Nikolai Alekseev. The concerts are organized by the Estonian National Symphony Orchestra and Estonian State Concert Agency.
