Voces Musicales won the second prize at Harald Andersén Chamber Choir Competition

Chamber Choir Voces Musicales won the second prize at the international Harald Andersén Chamber Choir Competition in Finland. The competition was held from September 11 to 12 and the participating ten choirs from Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Ireland, Great Britain, Latvia and Estonia were selected on the basis of the entry documents and demos

The competition was held in two rounds and the members of the jury were Mats Nilsson (Sweden), Toomas Kapten (Estonia), Kaspars Putninš (Latvia), Nils Schweckendiek (Germany/Finland) and Karmina Šilec (Slovenia). The prizes were awarded in the gala concert at the Finlandia Hall, which was recorded by The Finnish Broadcasting Company YLE Radio 1. The first prize was given to Chamber Choir Hymnia from Denmark.


III International Harald Andersén Chamber Choir Competition was organised by the Sibelius Academy with the main partner Fennia Group. The competition is held since 2003 at three-year intervals (2003, 2006 and 2009) and it is also open to professional choirs and singers.
