Neeme Järvi and Paavo Järvi will conduct music by Erkki-Sven Tüür

In the near future, Erkki-Sven Tüür’s music will be performed under the baton of Estonian conductors in USA and The Netherlands: Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra with Paavo Järvi in orchestra’s hometown and Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra in Amsterdam.

On September 25 to 27, Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra will give three concerts in Cincinnati Music Hall, performing Symphony No 7 Pietas. This is the U.S. premiere of this piece. Conductor is orchestra’s Musical Director Paavo Järvi. The program of the concert also includes music by Richard Strauss, Alexander Borodin and Pyotr Tchaikovsky

The world premiere of Symphony No 7 took place on June 18 at Frankfurt Alte Oper, performed by hr-Sinfonieorchester, NDR Chor (North German Radio Choir) and conductor Paavo Järvi. The piece, dedicated to Tenzin Gyatso and his lifelong endeavours, is co-commissioned by hr-Sinfonieorchester and Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra.

On September 25 and 26, Erkki-Sven Tüür’s Aditus will be performed by Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra and Neeme Järvi in Amsterdam Concertgebouw. The program also consists of music by Paul Hindemith, Carl Maria von Weber and Sergei Prokofiev.
