Concerts of the Association of Estonian Professional Musicians in October


 

In October, the concert series Academic Chamber Music will continue with three concerts.
On October 6 at 6 pm, piano duo Ebe Müntel – Jorma Toots and cellist Henry-David Varema with pianist Lea Leiten will perform in St. John’s Church in Viljandi. The program consists of music by Pyotr Tchaikovsky, Joseph Haydn, Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy and Robert Schumann.

 

The piano duo will also give a concert on October 7 at Kadriorg Palace, where they will perform Tchaikovsky’s and Maurice Ravel’s pieces. Ebe Müntel and Jorma Toots have been playing together since 2004. They have taken part in different competitions and performed in Estonia and Germany.

Henry-David Varema

On October 10 at 7 pm, Henry-David Varema and Lea Leiten will perform music by Ludwig van Beethoven, Schumann and Mendelssohn-Bartholdy at Kadriorg Palace.
Henry-David Varema has performed in Nordic and Baltic countries, Europe, Australia, the U.S. and elsewhere. Since 2003, he has played in string quartet Petersen Quartett. At the present time, he works at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre.
