Music agency Corelli Music starts its season with concerts entitled The Rosary, performed by ensemble Corelli Consort (Mail Sildos, Tõnu Jõesaar, Imbi Tarum) on period instruments and Ann Wallström (baroque violin, Sweden). The concerts will take place on October 10 at 6 pm in Tõstamaa manor (in the series of Manor Romance) and on October 11 at 6 pm at the building of Estonian Academy of Science (in the series of Toompea’s Music Salon).
The program, The Rosary, derives its name from a famous cycle by Heinrich Ignaz Franz von Biber, The Rosary Sonatas.
Next to Bibers’s violin sonatas (Sonata I The Annunciation, Sonata VI The Agony in the Garden and Passacaglia in G minor) music by Heinrich Ignaz Franz von Biber, Arcangelo Corelli, Alessandro Scarlatti, Johan Helmich Roman and Elisabeth Jacquet de la Guerre will be performed.
