Tõnu Kõrvits’s new work „Voice that Disappeared“

On November 15, new choral piece „Voice that Disappeared“ („Ääni joka katosi“) for mixed choir by Tõnu Kõrvits will be premiered in Finland. The brand new work will be performed by Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir under the guidance of Daniel Reuss at Siunto Church at 4 pm within the framework of the festival Lux Musicae. Estonian audience will receive the premiere of the choral piece on November 16 at Tallinn St. Nicholas’s Church at 7 pm.

 


Tõnu Kõrvits

Choral piece „Voice that Disappeared” is written on the poem of Finnish poet Mirkka Rekola and commissioned by the festival Lux Musicae for Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir. The program of the concerts also consists of choral works by Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy, Arnold Schönberg, Galina Grigorjeva and Cyrillus Kreek.
